Fun. Fitness. Education 〰️

We strive to make learning something new fun and accessible! Whether its learning martial arts or discovering the freedom of biking through the streets and trails of Chicago, we hope to empower Chicagoans with confidence, knowledge and a better understanding of their roots.

Our Approach

We seek to instill confidence and a sense community in Chicagoans by teaching our most vulnerable communities martial arts and leading fun and informative bike adventures through one of the most bike friendly cities in the U.S.

“I started kickboxing at the I Love Kickboxing in Skokie— then it randomly closed and I was devastated. I tried other boxing classes and they were meh, and that’s when I found Kickhouse in Lincoln Square and met Coach (AD) there. When I found out it was closing I decided I’d follow coach where ever they ended up because I loved their teaching style. I’m so glad I stick with AD because I’ve learned so so much more than I expected!

The community is the best— everyone is so supportive of on another — and it’s been amazing to learn something new with this group of people and see our progress over the past year.

Coach AD has amazing energy every class and is incredibly knowledgeable. It motivates me in ways I’m not able to get to on my own.

“I love the supportive and welcoming atmosphere. I find most gyms intimidating but Iron Orchid is accessible while still being challenging. —I actually look forward to coming to class!”

  • Jaccques Lacava

“Iron Orchid is conveniently located in a new and nice location.

Coach Ardarius encourages you to work out to the best of your own physical abilities. Each class offers different types of exercises in a relaxed environment.”

“At my first class I told Coach AD that I was inspired (to start learning martial arts) by a video game character, and by the end of class they taught me on of her signature moves. — If that doesn’t show you the care and thoughtfulness they put in making sure the work we do is personalized to your own goals, I don’t know what else would!”
